What an amazing place it is! The atmosphere is peaceful and cozy, service is unobtrusive and the food is sooooo delicious! It's a rare case when ordering meat or seafood you get fresh-cooked, flavorful, quality meal that tastes exactly like it should - you feel the taste of the ingredients and it's not deemed by seasonings and sauces. We ate shrimps with asparagus, scallops with peas and mushrooms, beef with rice and broccoli and two giant rolls with plethora of stuffing. Everything was fresh, tasty, balanced. Now I can say it is one of the best restaurants of asian food I know.
We always come here for the smoke ducks and the spicy boiled beef. The ducks are very tasty and not greasy. It is a 10/10 dish. You really cannot go wrong with it. Spicy boiled beef is a Szechwan dish. If you like spicy food, this is the one you need to try. The beef is very soft and well seasoned. The size of this dish is big. It really worths every dollar. Tonight we tried the spicy fish with green pepper. I am surprised how good it turned out. It is a Szechwan dish. However, it is not really spicy. The fish fillets are soft and delicious. I definitely will order again. Their sushi are also very good. PL8 has so many good dishes. It is hard to choose sometimes. BTW, their services are good too.
On Chinese New Year’s Eve, we ordered takeout from this restaurant. The Sichuan cuisine was very authentic and came in generous portions. Our whole family was very satisfied. We especially loved the Zhangcha duck — the meat was tender with a rich smoky flavor.
I’ve been coming here for a few years now. I try and introduce this place to as many friends as possible. They just have the best sushi, so fresh and unique. I finally venture out and ate some other things on the menu. The 6 flavored beef.. was so incredible, it reminds me of real Korean beef but with a twist. The green tea tiramisu was such a delicate delightful treat to end the night.
I don't usually write reviews, but this restaurant deserves a five-star review. I have been to birthday parties a couple of times here and the food was amazing, everything was very fresh, and the sashimi used the highest quality fish that simply melts in your mouth. I don't typically drink, but for the celebration, we ordered some drinks the waiter recommend, and they were extremely good and as you can see from the picture, they look pretty too. Have I mentioned the dessert? We ordered 3 types of dessert, and they were all super yummy. I will be back soon!
Excellent food, value and service. Beautiful cultural interior decor. We had the lunch specials that came with soup and egg roll. Very large portion for reasonable lunch price. Extra plus that they offer an extensive selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. We will return! Update: Hot & Sour soup contains egg and is not suitable for vegan. Sesame Balls may also contain egg.
My group had a wonderful experience! Staff were very attentive and helpful and the food was quite good. All of the dishes we had held a very good baseline level of taste and quality, but a few really stood above the rest. The Bo Bo Beef was very well spiced and flavored while still very tender. The Smoked Duck was juicy with a flavorful sauce. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was crispy with a sweet and umami sauce far better than most I have had. The Koudai Tofu was very good and accompanied with a nice sampling of vegetables. The Potstickers were some of the best I have had in quite some time. Finishing off the meal with warm Sesame Balls made it a very complete meal. While we did not sit at the bar, it had a cool vibe and I can imagine it would be a great place to snag a drink and some appetizers. Overall, I recommend stopping by if you are looking for a family Chinese food restaurant that balances solid Chinese-American staples with more traditional offerings.
Such a great place to taste Chinese food, well combined with light healthy dishes as well, such as pockets Tofu. My favorite is Tea flavored smoked duck, golden crispy outside, tender juicy inside, hard to find in any other Chinese restaurant. Highly recommend!
